All about Stephanie
Described as a 'budding songbird,' Stephanie is a versatile and accomplished singer, having performed in many popular music venues around the UK and internationally with touring theatre companies, choirs and music groups. Stephanie's professional singing career spans nearly two decades and includes roles in musicals, cabarets, and as a wedding singer, session singer and choral singer.
A graduate from the University of Sussex, Stephanie achieved an upper second class BA (Hons) in music and music analysis, whilst receiving 3 years singing and performance training in classical music from the Guildhall of Music and Drama. During this time she also developed an interest in studio work; composing, mixing and editing music to accompany film, TV and theatre works. She has been recognised and rewarded on numerous occasions for her contribution and dedication to music and theatre, which has fuelled her passion further for pursuing a career within this field.
Stephanie's wealth of experience as a professional wedding singer and performer is complemented further by her interest and talents as an actress, and she performs regularly with local theatre groups, based in Teddington, Middlesex. Joining the youth section, aged 17, she thrived on stage, taking lead roles in many productions, including Pride and Prejudice, Taming of the Shrew, The Duchess of Malfi, Spring Awakening, and The Way of the World. Now a Senior member of the group, Stephanie makes an invaluable contribution to many productions in Stage Management, Producer, and marketing liaison roles.
Since graduating in 2009, Stephanie has worked extensively within the arts industry, in both a professional and personal capacity. A (recurring) highlight has been the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the world's largest arts festival, where Stephanie has spent a number of summers either treading the boards or working behind the scenes, ensuring everything is running as smoothly as possible!
If she isn't on stage, you're likely to find Stephanie meticulously planning as she has spent the last 6 years working within the weddings and events industry, most recently as a freelance event management professional. Having recognised a gift for the organisation and delivery of events, she prides herself in having helped a large number of couples achieve their perfect wedding day and meeting lots of lovely people along the way.
The Paper Songbirds is an incredibly exciting venture for Stephanie; one that she is so proud to be involved in and honoured to have the exceptionally talented Lizzie Lattimore by her side. She's looking forward to getting stuck in with the organisation, marketing and promotion of The Paper Songbirds, not to mention singing beautiful wedding songs and spending her time doing what she loves most; exploring music and creativity.
